Hey, just joined,
I'm Dan, I live near Byron, which is near the Gold Coast.
I dev my own B&W and C41 at home, and looking into moving into E6 as
well soon, I was considering buying a tank for doing 16 and 35mm
motion picture variety for a few hundred, as I study film, it would
make good economical sense and would be nice to shoot on super16 or
super35 and sourcing film from overseas.
Would record to uncompressed digital audio and sync with a clapper if
I did this, the only piece in the puzzle left is how the hell would I
do a reliable steady home telecine (though is there a good place on
the GC that does it? does movieworld still do this kinda thing?), the
only thing i can think of is a hand advanced projector and project
with a lens directly into an slr with lens off if i can project a
focussed image that small with it, or some other variety of that like
projecting onto a spinning 'ground glass' with slr photographing that
or something similar.
I guess it may as well be a pipe dream unless I can get some kind of
automation into the system for capture, if anyone has some tips, let
me know :)
For photography... I like to shoot a lot of landscapes and nature
themed images, and looking at moving into the b&w fine art nude.
I have a bit of old stuff on http://www.photodan.com.au/gallery.php if
anyone wants to look at that :)
