I know this has been done to death before on aus.legal and I just posted
questions below again over there
but not very detailed answers ensued.
What are the legal ramifications of secretly recording video and or
audio or both together in NSW,
in a public place?
In a private place?
a private place with public access?
Publishing same?
using in a court?
I would guess you can't in a place where there is an expectation of
privacy.
If I had a disguised camera and wished to film something, for arguments
sake like people handling every vegetable in the fruit shop while making
their selection, or an official throwing their weight around, or an
argument with a neighbor or an illegal act by some one or any number of
other things or even a policeman doing his duty.I would just like to know
the laws covering such things.
